Sue Sharpe is a Consultant Researcher at Timescapes School of Sociology and Social Policy, University of Leeds. She has published several books on her research interests, which include the lives and experiences of young people, gender issues and family relationships. Rachel Thomson, Director of the University of Sussex Centre for Innovation and Research in Childhood and Youth, previously worked at the Open University (2003-11) and at NCB (1990-96). Her research interests include the study of the life course and transitions, as well as the interdisciplinary fields of gender and sexuality studies. Rachel is currently co-editor of NCB's interdisciplinary journal Children & Society.
