From September 2002, new duties were issued to all schools not to discriminate against disabled pupils: not to treat them 'less favourably', and to make 'reasonable adjustments'. A range of statutory guidance on disability discrimination, access and inclusion has already been issued.
Making it Work provides materials to support training and implementation of these duties and includes:photocopiable and CD Rom resources check lists for school-based audits examples of making it work contacts for further help. The pack will help train and prepare teachers, school staff, governors and LEA Personnel.
